Product Introduction
Manganese sulphate is a trace element needed by crops that synthesize fatty acids, so manganese sulphate can be applied to the soil as a fertilizer, which can increase yields. If manganese sulfate is added to animal feed, it has the effect of fattening. Manganese sulfate is also used in industrial production such as manganese electrolysis, dyestuff, paper making and ceramics.
Anhydrous manganese sulfate is nearly white orthorhombic crystal system, density 3.25g/cm3, melting point 700℃, easily soluble in water.
Manganese sulfate monohydrate is light pink monoclinic crystal system fine crystal, density 2.95g/mL (25℃), melting point 700℃, boiling point 850℃. It is not stable at room temperature and pressure. Soluble in water, solubility 5-10g/100 mL (21 ℃), insoluble in ethanol. Heating to more than 200 ℃ began to lose the water of crystallization, about 280 ℃ when the loss of most of the water of crystallization, 700 ℃ into anhydrous salt melt. 850 ℃ when the decomposition began, due to the conditions of the different and the release of sulfur trioxide, sulfur dioxide, or oxygen, residual black insoluble manganese tetroxide in 1150 ℃ about the complete decomposition.
Manganese sulfate tetrahydrate is translucent light rose-red crystal, density 2.107g/mL (25℃), soluble in water. It starts to decompose at 850°C. Due to different degrees of heat, sulfur trioxide, sulfur dioxide or oxygen can be released, and the residue has manganese dioxide or manganese tetraoxide. Manganese sulfate can form hydrates containing 1,2,3,4,5,7 crystalline waters respectively, and can lose all its own crystalline waters to become anhydrous when heated above 280℃.
Uses of Manganese Sulfate
Manganese sulfate is one of the important trace element fertilizers, which can be used as base fertilizer, seed dipping, seed mixing, follow-up fertilizer and foliar spraying, which can promote the growth of crops and increase the yield. In animal husbandry and feed industry, it is used as feed additives, which can make livestock and poultry develop well and have fattening effect. It is also the raw material for processing paint and ink drying agent manganese naphthalate solution. Used as a catalyst in the synthesis of fatty acids. In addition, it can also be used as raw material for paper making, ceramics, printing and dyeing, ore flotation, production of electrolytic manganese and manufacture of other manganese salts.
It is widely used in industry as raw material for electrolysis, paint drying agent, ink catalyst, fatty acid synthesis catalyst, ceramic coloring agent, fabric printing and dyeing agent, ore flotation agent and manganese salt production. In agriculture, it is used as fertilizer and feed additive.
